Born into a wealthy French family, Gert Rausch’s life was changed by World War II. Post-war, “farm to table” was a necessity, sparking a lifelong culinary passion. His formal training began at 14, leading him on a global journey from Munich’s Hotel Bayerischer Hof to the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, and celebrated ventures in Aspen, Texas, and Cape Cod.
